ONE OFF Original art piece. Bookcase Botanicals, a series of small (8 1/2”) mixed media sculptures are presented in turned wooden bases. The collection depicts woodland and wayside flowers, and are painstakingly created by hand, using papers which have been dyed using natural colour. Each petal, stamen and leaf is cut by hand, a laborious and painstaking process, resulting in the delightful details of this unique botanical artwork. This piece, a cheerful dandelion with flower, seedhead and leaves, is coloured with weld and red and brown onion skin. It is presented in a handturned, pebble shaped ash base.
Bookcase Botanicals are packaged securely in a high quality hardcase magnetic closure gift box, which is shipped inside a second cardboard outer box.
