Tuesday 11th October at 10am The Paper Wildflower - session 3 Bindweed is often seen as a pesky weed – and indeed, when they invade a cultivated garden, they are! But Bindweed are also one of our most elegant and graceful wildflowers, providing a rich source of food for bees, butterflies, hoverflies – and at night, moths. Bindweed flowers later in the summer and as it grows and binds itself around other plants and flowers, its deep roots help to break up the soil around the dying plants, allowing water to penetrate as plants die back. All wildflowers have their purpose! The class will give you the skills you need to create the flowers and leaves of this elegant plant which can be used to create a beautiful wreath or a stunning arrangement on its own. If you attend additional classes in the Paper Wildflower series you will work towards creating your own arrangement of an array of wildflowers including bindweed, foxgloves and asters. If you choose to purchase the full course please head to ‘The Paper Wildflower Course’ Over the course of 8 paper flower sessions plus the paper dyeing session you will learn how to make an array of flowers to build your own paper flower arrangement. Sessions can be purchased individually or as a course. If you purchase the course you will also get the paper dyeing course included at no extra cost (with a choice of dates). All materials and refreshments will be provided. This course lasts for 2.5 hours from 10am - 12.30pm. Maximum 12 participants.
