I’d love to come, but I don’t think I’m at all creative. How will I manage? Your hosts, Ling and Meg, are both experienced artists and experienced teachers, who pride themselves on their ability to coach anyone through the process of crafting paper flowers! As long as you are willing to learn, we can teach you, and guarantee that, with willing and a little effort, you will leave with a stunning flower!

I have a very restricted diet. Can you accommodate thisPlease let us know in detail what your dietary requirements are. Our dedicated chef, Katie Park, will be joining us on site for the duration of the retreat, catering for all dietary requirements.

Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users? Although the ground floor entrance to Little Massingham Manor is wheelchair accessible the bedrooms are all on the first floor with no lift.

I am allergic to flowers. Can I still come? Of course you can come, and one of the many wonderful facets of paper flower arrangements is that they have no pollen! However please do be aware that the retreat is centered around flowers, and they will be an integral part of the table and venue décor. Although we can ensure that the flowers are kept away from you, we cannot remove them completely.

How long are the workshop sessions? The morning sessions start at 9.30 and are 3.5 hrs with a break for morning tea. The afternoon sessions will be around 3 hours with a tea break. The studio will be open in the evening with one of us on hand to help if you want to continue making flowers during the evening.

A woodland spa? Tell me more! The Woodland Spa boasts changing rooms, a wood fired hot tub and sauna plus a cold tub all nestled in the trees with a view over the meadows to the setting sun! We have exclusive use of it for the evenings we are there. It is a short walk from the main house. Sit in the hot tub and listen to the birds settling down for the night and the owls calling in the trees. It's bliss!

What time is breakfast? Breakfast will be at 8.30 each day and the workshops will start at 9.30. We are keeping lunch and dinner times flexible so it allows us to be flexible. There will be snacks and drinks available at all times.

Will I have free time? Yes, the evenings are your time to relax. There are extensive grounds to wander through, the woodland spa to enjoy, comfortable living areas to unwind, read or chat with the other guests. A mile down the road is the famous Dabbling Duck Pub which we can visit if there is interest. The studio will also be open in the evening if you wish to make more flowers.

When do we start? Guests are welcome to arrive from 4pm onwards on Thursday 25th September. Dinner will be served at 6.00pm and on the first evening we have organised a welcome session with cocktails (including alcohol free options) to introduce ourselves and for all our guests to get to know each other.

What time will we finish on Sunday? Following our last morning crafting session, lunch will l be served at 1pm and we say our goodbyes around 2.30pm.

Important note: Trans and nonbinary people are welcome here. Racism has no place here. If either of these values bother you, please don’t come.
