Wednesday 27th November 2024 9.30am - 3pm The hollyhock is a classic of the English Country Garden. Striking, tall and stately the hollyhock often forms a glorious backdrop for lush cottage garden style planting. Wonderful trumpet shaped flowers with a range of rich colours and beautifully detailed centres with lush green foliage. Create a statement stem of holly hock to display at home - and leave with the skills to create more if you wish! In this five hour session you will learn how to create the trumpet shaped flowers, buds and leaves - and of course how to put the stems together. We will discuss different colouring methods and there will be a choice of colours for your holly hock. This arresting spike of colour will be the dominant focal point in any paper floral arrangement. All materials and tools plus drinks and refreshments will be provided (please bring a packed lunch). This course is delivered over five and a half hours with a 30minute break for lunch. Maximum 8 participants. £60. A £25 deposit is payable on booking. The balance (less discounts) will be taken on the day of the course. the deposit is non refundable however if you are unable to attend the deposit may be transferred to a different class, subject to availability and within 12 months.
